One Final Walk & Roll Wednesday in May!

Support Sanislo

May 27th will be our final Walk & Roll Wednesday this year. The theme is “trash pick-up day.” Trash bags and gloves will be available at our Walking School Bus meeting places. Let’s see how much trash we can get off the sidewalks to make our walks more pleasant and beautiful. Adults, please be sure that children know not to touch anything that might be sharp. If they see broken glass or anything else that looks sharp, they should show an adult to determine the best thing to do.

Meeting place reminder:

1) The police station at Delridge & Webster, 8:20 AM
2) 12th & Myrtle @ 8:25 AM
3) The Tot Lot at 21st & Croft @ 8:20 AM

Look to the Future: Will walking, cycling and carpooling continue to grow at Sanislo? The Go! Project grant ends with this school year, but even just 2 volunteers could continue the momentum that exists if you choose. Feet First has resources and materials to help continue encouragement activities without reinventing any wheels. If you want this to
continue at Sanislo, please contact Jen Cole: jen@feetfirst.info or (206) 652-2310.
