One Book Volunteers Needed

In the “great news” dept., our librarian, Maryann Horsley won a “One Book, One Community” grant from the Washington Secretary of State’s office. You may be familiar with similar programs sponsored by the Seattle Public Library (the “Seattle Reads” program, formerly “What if all Seattle read one book?”). The community surrounding Sanislo will be encouraged to participate. We will be kicking off the events here at Sanislo the evening of Wednesday, March 19. Maryann needs volunteers to assist with set up, greeting, passing out books and clean up. We’ll also need volunteers for the final event — kite making with the community here at the school the afternoon of Sunday, April 27.
